[su_service title=”Infrared will save you money on your energy bills.” icon=”icon: check-square-o” icon_color=”#ab1d1d”]Remember infrared doesn’t heat the air – instead it works by heating solid objects directly. This is important because by heating surface area instead of volume, the like-for-like wattage required is much lower. Less electricity required = lower bills![/su_service]
[su_service title=”Infrared heaters are sleekly designed.” icon=”icon: check-square-o” icon_color=”#ab1d1d”]Some old storage heaters are over 200mm thick – that is quite the intrusion in your home, especially if you have them in every room. Our infrared heaters are thin – just 17mm including the bracket. If you can find a more sleekly designed heating system that can also do a fantastic heating job, we want to hear about it! We also can provide infrared heaters that double as mirrors or pictures.[/su_service]
[su_service title=”Electric heating can be turned on and off as required on a room by room basis.” icon=”icon: check-square-o” icon_color=”#ab1d1d”]There is no denying gas is cheaper than electricity, but there are benefits of electric heating over gas. One is that it is incredibly easy to control– you can simply turn the heaters on and off in the rooms as required. This should mean you never heat a space unnecessarily. We also offer heating controls that can be used on your phone for further convenience.[/su_service]
[su_service title=”Infrared is not impacted by draughts.” icon=”icon: check-square-o” icon_color=”#ab1d1d”]Infrared doesn’t heat the air, unlike convection heating (commonly radiators or storage heaters). With convection heating, the reason you feel warm is that the air is warm. If you have a draughty home then hot air can quickly escape through gaps around windows or the chimney. This means the room cools down, or the hot air needs to be replenished via the heating system, so the heating costs more to run than with infrared. Infrared provides a more uniform heating experience as well, since hot air rises (in the case of convection heating), meaning it gives a big vertical variation in temperature.[/su_service]
[su_service title=”Infrared helps prevent condensation forming.” icon=”icon: check-square-o” icon_color=”#ab1d1d”]Hot air from convection heating often carries moisture. As convection doesn’t heat furniture, unlike infrared, these cold areas are perfect for water vapour to condense. [/su_service]

[su_service title=”Infrared helps eliminate damp.” icon=”icon: check-square-o” icon_color=”#ab1d1d”]Infrared is easily absorbed by water, so any damp in walls quickly absorbs the infrared and warms up, drying the walls out. [/su_service]
[su_service title=”Infrared heating provides a more gentle heating experience.” icon=”icon: check-square-o” icon_color=”#ab1d1d”]Fed up of continually fluctuating temperatures in your homes? Then use infrared, since it is far more reactive than conventional convection heating.[/su_service]
[su_service title=”Infrared is cheaper to install than other heating systems.” icon=”icon: check-square-o” icon_color=”#ab1d1d”]An infrared heating panel can cost as little as £194.00 and can be installed very simply. On big home renovations, you will already have the skills on site: no specialists are required (unlike almost every other type of heating!). We always recommend using a thermostat to control the panels, but even with this added cost, infrared is considerably better value than installing a wet central heating system in your home. This leads us nicely on to point 9.[/su_service]
[su_service title=”Infrared is almost maintenance free.” icon=”icon: check-square-o” icon_color=”#ab1d1d”]Plumbers are expensive and a central heating system is going to require far more maintenance than a heating system with no moving parts. Infrared heaters are either on or off and there is no water moving through them, so there is very little to go wrong! [/su_service]
[su_service title=”Infrared reduces allergies.” icon=”icon: check-square-o” icon_color=”#ab1d1d”]There are no convection currents with infrared heating so allergens are not circulated around rooms, worsening symptoms for allergy sufferers.[/su_service]

We bought 2 infrared heaters for a big room we have never been abale to get warm. It now sits at a comfortable 21 degrees. They are fantastic!
How many receivers would I need if I wanted to have one thermostat? Planning to have heater in living rom, kitchen and corridor.
Hi Len,
You would need 3 receivers. It is possible to put about 3.4kW (or 3400 watts) through one receiver, so in theory you could put 4 x 800w panels through the same receiver, but from the sound of things the areas are quite distinct so you would require 3 receivers to minimise the wiring implications (basically trying to link the panels through the same receiver.
