With its award-winning designer finish and smart, flexible control via the SmartLife App, the Herschel iQ MKS Mains powered Wifi Thermostat provides the ideal choice for control of your infrared heating system. Perfect for new builds and renovations where cabling can be neatly hidden whether it be for domestic or commercial applications and can control temperatures of up to 45°C. When used in conjunction with your wifi network and the SmartLife App, MKS can run in fully programmable ‘Smart Mode’ enabling you to manage your heating as efficiently as possible whether you are home or away.

MKS is wired directly to the mains circuit and to the heaters and requires recessing into the wall or can be surface-mounted to the wall with a back box.

The MKS thermostat will operate your Herschel heater(s) by turning them on if the room temperature is lower than the desired temperature and turning them off once the desired temperature is reached. The MKS is easy to operate via the SmartLife App or via push buttons and incorporates the latest EcoDesign energy-saving features including Herschel’s open window technology.

MKS has a keypad locking feature to prevent unauthorised tampering making it suitable for commercial applications such as hotels, care homes, student accommodation and let properties.  The MKS is a 16 Amp thermostat enabling up to 3.6 kW of Herschel heaters to be connected. They can be used with the Inspire, Select XLS or Herschel space heating range.

If using the MKS with the Select XLS panel range the SMART-R function of the XLS panel will be bypassed. The thermostat will have to be hard-wired directly to the heater as well as the mains. (It is not possible to pair wirelessly with the panel).

The Herschel iQ MD1 Wired Thermostat is ideal for new builds / renovations where cabling can be neatly hidden whether it be for domestic or commercial applications.

This thermostat is not app-enabled and is fully functional stand-alone.

MD1 is wired directly to the mains circuit and to the heaters and requires recessing into the wall.

The MD1 thermostat will operate your Herschel heater(s) by turning them on if the room temperature is lower than the desired temperature and turning them off once the desired temperature is reached. The MD1 is easy to operate, featuring a large digital touchscreen display and incorporates the latest EcoDesign energy-saving features including Herschel’s open window technology.

MD1 has a keypad locking feature to prevent unauthorised tampering making it suitable for commercial applications such as hotels, care homes, student accommodation and let properties.  The MD1 is a 16 amp thermostat enabling up to 3.6 kW of Herschel heaters to be connected.

Functions include:

• 7 x 1 day programmable, 6 periods per day;
• “Comfort” and Economy modes;
• Window Open Function (shutting off the heating if a rapid drop in temperature is detected until you override this or wait 1 hour);
• Time of Day;
• Target Temperature control (up to 45°C, making it suitable for specialist high temperature applications such as hot yoga studios);
• Keypad lock.

Herschel iQ R2 Wireless Receiver

The R2 is the switch that turns your heaters on and off. It also acts as the internet gateway for the T2 enabling you to control the system with the SmartLife App.

The R2 pairs wirelessly with the T2 thermostat and receives control commands from the T2 to either turn the heater(s) on or off. Additional R2s can be added to the same T2 Thermostat to allow you to add several heaters in a room to the same T2 control.

The R2 Receiver features a 1 hour Boost function and all other control functions are provided from the T2 or SmartLife app.

An R2 can control up to 2.3kW of infrared heaters (10 amps) on a 230 volt circuit.

Herschel IQ – T2 Single Zone Control – Product Description

The perfect heating control for simple use. Very easy to control and very well designed, these units work seamlessly with Herschel’s infrared heating panels. This single zone control pack comes with an R2 receiver and a T2 thermostat.

What can the Herschel T2 Thermostat do?

The Herschel iQ T2 Wireless Thermostat has a very clear backlit digital control display and easy-to-use functions including:

• Time of Day;
• Target Temperature control;
• 7 x 1 day schedule with 4 times of day; Eco and Manual modes;
• Window Open Function (shutting off the heating if the temperature drops more than 2°C in a 15 minute period until you override this or wait 1 hour);
• Adaptive Start (determines when to switch heating on before the next scheduled time);
• App control using the SmartLife App for remote control of your heating;
• Wall-mounted or Free-standing.

What can the Herschel iQ R2 Receiver do?

The iQ R2 Wireless Receiver has the following additional capabilities:

• 1 hr “Boost” function;
• Unlimited R2’s can be paired to a T2,to control more heaters in the house (all receiving identical commands from the T2).
• Acts as the Internet Gateway for the T2 to enable SmartLife App control.
