  The power of the iQ Hub and app becomes really apparent when you want to extend your system.

  • You can add another hub on a separate network and manage the iQ devices on it. This means (for example) you could manage your home and office heating on the same app.
  • You can share management of one or more hubs with another mobile phone (e.g. spouse or colleague).
  • Because device and control data is held on the hubs and iQ devices, it doesn’t matter if you lose your phone or want to upgrade it. Just download the app to the new device and re-pair.

  Herschel iQ MD1 Wired Thermostat

  

  MD1 is wired directly to the mains circuit and to the heaters and requires recessing into the wall. If this is not practical consider the Herschel iQ T1 Wireless Thermostat.

  The MD1 thermostat will operate your Herschel heater(s) by turning them on if the room temperature is lower than the desired temperature and turning them off once the desired temperature is reached. The MD1 is easy to operate, featuring a large digital touchscreen display and incorporates the latest EcoDesign energy-saving features including Herschel’s open window technology.

  MD1 has a keypad locking feature to prevent unauthorised tampering making it suitable for commercial applications such as hotels, care homes, student accommodation and let properties.  The MD1 is a 16 amp thermostat enabling up to 3.6 kW of Herschel heaters to be connected.

  Functions include:

  • 7 x 1 day programmable, 6 periods per day;
  • “Comfort” and Economy modes;
  • Window Open Function (shutting off the heating if a rapid drop in temperature is detected until you override this or wait 1 hour);
  • Time of Day;
  • Target Temperature control (up to 45°C, making it suitable for specialist high temperature applications such as hot yoga studios);
  • Keypad lock.

  Herschel IQ – T1 Single Zone Control – Product Description

  The perfect heating control for simple use. Very easy to control and very well designed, these units work seamlessly with Herschel’s infrared heating panels. This single zone control pack comes with an R1 receiver and a T1 thermostat.

  Optional remote control over the internet is available (just add the iQ Hub and download the Herschel iQ App)*.

  What can the Herschel T1 Thermostat do?

  The Herschel iQ T1 Wireless Thermostat has a very clear backlit digital control display and easy-to-use functions including:

  • Time of Day;
  • Target Temperature control;
  • 5+1+1 Week schedule with 4 times of day; “Comfort”; Economy and Away modes;
  • Window Open Function (shutting off the heating if the temperature drops more than 2°C in a 15 minute period until you override this or wait 1 hour);
  • Adaptive Start (determines when to switch heating on before the next scheduled time);
  • Wall-mounted or Free-standing.

  What can the Herschel iQ R1 Receiver do?

  The iQ R1 Wireless Receiver has the following additional capabilities:

  • 1 hr “Boost” function;
  • Unlimited R1’s can be paired to a T1,to control more heaters in the house (all receiving identical commands from the T1).
  • Can be re-paired to an iQ WH1 Central Control Unit if you want to upgrade your simple control solution to a more comprehensive Building Management solution with multiple zones running multiple different schedules.

  Herschel iQ WH1 Central Control Unit

  

  The Herschel iQ WH1 Central Control Unit provides centralised control of up to 36 R1 receivers (running up to 2.3kW each of infrared heaters on 230 volts and 1.2kW on 120 volts) and manages them either:

  • As a whole group using single-touch commands;
  • In up to 6 different zones comprising up to 6 R1 receivers each;
  • Individually.

  This provides the ultimate flexibility for home and commercial heating control.  *WH1 requires R1 (Gen 2 model). It is not compatible with the new app-enabled R1 (Gen 3 model) launched in November 2018.

  The iQ WH1 Central Control Unit has a LCD touch screen for ease of use.
